Inclusive and exclusive counting

By default, the result shows how many days apart the dates are. Turning on Include the end date counts both selected calendar dates.

What it intentionally excludes

This page does not calculate age, payroll deadlines, or business days. Holiday dates can be overlaid, but weekends are not excluded and holiday rules are not interpreted as legal or contractual deadlines.

Worked example: 2 August to 3 August is 1 day apart. When both dates are included, the same selection contains 2 calendar dates. Months and years are calculated from actual calendar boundaries rather than fixed 30-day or 365-day estimates.

Hours, minutes, and seconds are exact fixed-duration equivalents of the displayed calendar-day count, using 24 hours per day. The weekday totals count each represented date from the earlier date forward and follow the selected inclusive or days-apart convention.
Choose a two-letter country code and load holidays after selecting both dates. The calculator requests public holidays for each represented year, removes duplicate date-and-name entries, and keeps manual holidays separate. Malaysia uses the selected state or federal-territory calendar and automatically tries a backup dataset when the primary service is unavailable.
